Straightforward Shooting™

Straightforward Shooting L.L.C. was founded in 2010 by Tina Francone. Straightforward Shooting is the exclusive handgun and rifle instructor provider for The Firing Line Shooting Range.

Tina is the CEO and Training Manager, who oversees the staff of NRA Certified instructors.

Tina began her shooting career by running the shooting range at Cub Scout day camp. Since then, she has taught hundreds of Scouts how to shoot BB guns, rifles and shotguns. Tina says, “I figured if I could teach Scouts how to shoot, I could teach adults”. And, she has – Straightforward Shooting has qualified over 5,000 Coloradans to apply for their Concealed Carry Permits. Tina has rapidly become one of Colorado’s leading firearms instructors and is the co-author of The Straightforward Shooting Guide to the Colorado Concealed Handgun.

Tina works hard to keep the classes fun. She says, “It shouldn’t be like traffic school”. But safety is the founding principle. This is serious business. You will learn to handle a gun, which can be deadly without good training. You must have the emotional maturity to be serious about firearms training. If so, students of any age are welcome. But if you do not have the right attitude for safe gun handling, you will not advance and you should not carry a gun.

Tina Francone

CEO/Training Manager

Tina Francone is an NRA certified Training Counselor, Chief Range Safety Officer and certified firearms instructor in several disciplines – CCW, Home Firearm Safety, Pistol, Rifle, Refuse To Be A Victim, Shotgun and Personal Protection In The Home. She has been active in shooting sports and training shooters for the past 30 years.

Frank Francone

Senior Firearms Instructor

Frank Francone is an attorney, licensed to practice in California and before the United States Supreme Court. An experienced trial and appellate attorney, Frank is also an NRA-certified instructor in Rifle, Pistol, and Shotgun and an NRA-certified Range Safety Officer.

He has been teaching Coloradans how to defend themselves for more than twenty years.

Michael Holmes

Senior Firearms Instructor

Michael is a USMC veteran and avid shooter who practices what he preaches – he carries concealed daily. Besides his military shooting qualifications, he pursues further training, ensuring that he stays abreast of current industry standards and to bring value to those he teaches. As an NRA certified pistol, rifle, and shotgun instructor, Michael enjoys watching new shooters increase their comfort and skill levels while guaranteeing the highest safety standards are always observed and enforced.
