Colorado CONCEALED Carry Permit Class – Permit qualification

Big changes in Colorado law. This class will qualify you to apply for your initial Concealed Handgun Permit in every county or to renew you Carry Permit in Colorado plus 34 other states.

Our eight hour Course qualifies you to apply for your Colorado Concealed Carry Permit, in all counties, regardless what county you live in. Most shooting instruction is conducted at Shoot Indoors – Buckley in Aurora, CO for live fire training.  This class is designed for two types of students:

• Beginning handgun shooters who want a thorough grounding in the safe and effective use of a handgun. You do not need to own a gun to take this class.
• Anyone who wants to qualify to apply for or wants to renew their Colorado concealed carry permit.

You will get about one hour of personally instructed live fire after thorough  training in grip, stance, trigger work, aiming, and breathing. You will know how to handle your gun.

The Level 1 Course is taught from the 170 page  e-book: The Straightforward Shooting Guide to the Colorado Concealed Handgun. It starts with the basics: handgun safety, ammunition, how handguns work and how to purchase a handgun.

We move to hands-on gun handling skills – first in the classroom and then out on the range. We end with a comprehensive, but easy-to-understand overview of the Colorado law of self-defense and carrying a concealed handgun. This class also includes, at no extra charge:

• Eight hours of instruction, with hands-on training with different types of handguns;
• One hour of semi-private, live-fire instruction with Straightforward Shooting’s NRA Certified Instructors;
• Training with state-of-the-art SIRT laser training pistols for trigger control and precision aiming;
• Don’t confuse this with other concealed carry classes. You will walk out of this course knowing how to handle and shoot a pistol - safely and effectively - with our personalized, hands-on approach;
• This Course includes a classroom portion and a range/live fire portion and is conducted at is conducted at Shoot Indoors – Buckley in Aurora, CO, unless otherwise noted. Minimum class size is 5; Maximum class size is 10;
  
• Firearms, eye and ear protection are available, for no additional charge. Range fees, ammunition and handgun rental may incur additional charges;
• This is not an NRA approved Course; However, it exceeds the Colorado requirements to apply for a concealed handgun permit.
